WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “ACTUAL DAY (AD) PACKAGES” AND “ROM PACKAGES”?

All Actual-Day packages include a trial makeup and hairstyling session. ROM Package contains the same inclusions but without the trial session.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “ACTUAL DAY (AD) PACKAGES” AND “ROM PACKAGES”?

Fresh Makeup refers to us working on a bare face (i.e without makeup on). Because it starts from scratch, Fresh makeup and hairstyling typically takes approximately 02 to 2.5 hours.

Additional Styling refers to touching-up upon an existing makeup done and usually includes a change of hairstyle depending on our client’s requirement and time allowed. Additional Styling must be done within 03 hours from the fresh makeup. Beyond 03 hours, all additional styling will be considered a fresh look. An additional change of styling takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

HOW DO I CHOOSE BETWEEN ADDITIONAL STYLING OR A FRESH MAKEUP?

The following are helpful when making a decision:

  1. Duration of your wedding day -

If your wedding is a half-day affair, with a morning “gate-crash” followed by a lunch reception, we would recommend an additional change of styling. If your make-up needs to last from the morning till evening, a fresh makeup look is necessary as your morning makeup will have deteriorated / oxidized.

  2. How tight is your schedule -

If you have a lunch reception, your tight schedule means you might not have time for a second fresh makeup look. We would recommend an additional change of styling if your schedule is very compact.

  3. Your personal skin condition -

If you have noticeably oily skin which oxidize easily, it is recommended to opt for a fresh makeup to continue looking your best.

I HAVE A MORNING CEREMONY + LUNCH RECEPTION, WHICH PACKAGE WOULD YOU RECOMMENDED?

We would recommend the AD Elegance Plus should you have a very tight schedule.

We would recommend AD Elaborate / Elaborate Plus only if you have sufficient time (2.5 hours at least) for a second fresh makeup & hairstyling before your lunch reception.

I HAVE A MORNING BRIDE-FETCHING CEREMONY + DINNER RECEPTION, WHICH PACKAGE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?

We would recommend the AD Elaborate / Elaborate Plus / Extravagance depending on the number of additional looks you require.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TRIAL SESSION?

Your trial session is a preliminary sample of your preferred makeup and hairstyling looks with your artist. We will propose the equivalent number of styles for you based on your chosen package.

For example, if you select our AD Extravagance Package (which includes 4 looks), we will suggest four different looks for you.

MAY I REQUEST A TRIAL FOR MY R.O.M?

Certainly! If you feel a makeup and hairstyling trial is necessary, you can consider our Actual Day (AD) packages as they already includes a trial within.

Should our brides elect not to have a trial due to schedule constraints, we will recommend a video consultation with your artist. This allows us to give our opinions based on your skin type, gown design and your own favorite makeup and hairstyling tastes.

CAN MY TRIAL STYLING BE USED FOR A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT?

This is not recommended. Our trials are demos of your eventual styles and it is common to try different looks on each side of the face for comparison.

You can, however, convert your trial to a proper pre-wedding makeup service by checking with your artist if the conversion is viable. Based on your new requirements, additional charges may apply.

WILL PRICES VARY IF I I HAVE LASH EXTENSIONS OR REQUIRE ADDITIONAL FALSE LASHES?

As different brides have different lash densities and lengths, all our false lashes are complimentary to ensure we create the most suitable look for you. There will be no reduction in fees if our brides come with lash extensions on as we frequently fill-in areas where the extensions are insufficient.

CAN I ARRANGE A TRIAL BEFORE I CONFIRM THE SERVICE OF AN AUTELIER ARTIST?

Definitely! A makeup artists and her bride is a relationship that goes beyond aesthetics and we most certainly hope you will feel a sense of ease and comfort when choosing any of our artists. Doing so will also allow you to consider their skill, style and personality for an ideal fit.

On an administrative note, your wedding date can only be booked after your initial deposit is secured. All trials are chargeable unless included within your package.

DO YOU FOLLOW US DURING THE PRE-WEDDING SHOOT?

For all local pre-wedding shoots, it is not necessary for our artists to follow you as there is usually little time for touch-ups while the shoot is underway. In practice, we will commonly meet our brides at the subsequent shoot locations for their change of styling, or to provide the necessary touch-ups. This default arrangement also saves our brides on any on-site stand-by costs.

If you do however, require us to follow-on for your shoot, we will, of course, be happy to accommodate your request for your ease of mind. Please refer to our artists rates for their follow-on fees.

BOOKING/ PAYMENT FAQ

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK YOUR SERVICES?

For all wedding events, we accept up to 18 months of advanced booking. If your wedding is just around the corner, feel free to check if any of our artists is available for booking in short notice.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON WEDDING DATE RESERVATION?

All of our artists’ dates are reserved on a “first-to-confirm” basis. As we often have multiple enquiries for specific “hot” dates, please try to secure your artists sooner rather than later.

CAN I STILL BOOK AN ARTIST IF THE TIME SCHEDULE FOR MY WEDDING DAY IS UNCONFIRMED?

We allow clients to “softbook” us to secure your date. However, should there be another request from another client on the same date, priority will have to be given to the client with a confirmed assignment schedule. This arrangement allows our artists the flexibility to secure other assignments on the same day.

We highly recommend our clients to inform us of their schedule timings as soon as possible.

Bookings without specified timings are subjected to confirmation by Autelier Makeup. Clients must provide timings within 14 days of booking or 8 days upon request by our team. Failure to do so may result in voiding of the existing booking. Alternatively, should the client not be able to firm up the timing, clients may opt for all-day standby service for an additional fee of $800-$1,000.

WHAT IS THE CONFIRMATION PROCESS LIKE?

  1. Upon getting a verbal or written confirmation on your intent to book, we will issue a draft invoice with the details of your wedding package, amount, date and timing of makeup session, venue and artist selected.

  2. Once you receive the draft invoice, you will be asked to make a deposit amounting to 50% of the total package. We will tentatively hold the booking for 03 calendar days while we wait for your payment to be settled.

  3. An official invoice will be sent to you when the deposit and the confirmation process is completed. It is only upon receipt of the confirmation email and 50% deposit received that your date and artist is considered secured.

  4. We recommend our clients to inform us of their settled payment via email and text message as a precaution in case their emails get filtered.

  5. Our studio or your artist will contact you again 6 to 8 weeks prior to your event for your consultation or trial session with us.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?

Payment is done in 02 parts.

  1. For the purpose of confirmation, an initial deposit of 50% of total fees will be required to secure the date. Payment should be made within 03 days of drafted invoice.

  2. A final payment for the balance of 50% will be collected prior/on the actual wedding or event day.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE?

You can make payment via Internet Banking or PAYNOW to our corporate account.

For the balance payment, you can also make payment via Internet Banking/ PAYNOW or pay our artist in cash on the day of your event. PAYNOW is preferred so both you and the artist don’t have to handle large sum of cash.

ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN OR ADD-ON CHARGES I NEED TO KNOW?

All our service inclusions are provided as per your chosen package. The only surcharges you might incur are the “early morning surcharge” or “off-island charges” should they be applicable.

CAN I CHANGE MY MAKEUP ARTIST AFTER I HAVE PAID THE DEPOSIT?

A change of your booked artist will be deemed as a cancellation. Our Cancellation Policies will then apply.

WHAT HAPPEN IF I CANCEL MY BOOKING?

Unfortunately, should the booking be cancelled, your deposit will be forfeited.

CHANGE IN PACKAGE CHOSEN

If a client chooses to downgrade the current wedding service package to a lower value, it will be treated as a cancellation of the existing contract. Any deposit paid for the original package cannot be applied to offset the price difference between the original and downgraded package.

IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES?

The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. It is paid in consideration of the inability of our artist to schedule other clients during that time. Please refer to our Service Terms for our full service agreement.

WHAT IF I AM UNSATISFIED WITH THE MAKEUP RENDERED?

We highly recommend a trial to align your expectations with our artists. Unless a rejection fee is agreed in advance, there is no right to reject on the basis of style and services rendered.

To protect our company against possible exploitation, we will require the unsatisfied client to have the makeup removed if their artist allows for a goodwill refund of their deposit. The request to remove must be made during the service session for the refund to be valid.

WHAT IF I WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL THE SERVICE AFTER THE TRIAL?

The purpose of your trial is to align your expectations with our artists skills and proposed styles. We will always seek to find out why you have made a decision to cancel the package and offer a solution via a possible retrial, or another arrangement by the company.
