At Autelier Makeup, our team of passionate Singapore makeup artists are constantly exploring new inspirations and creative directions. Recently, two of our talented makeup artists came together for a collaborative portfolio shoot — one focusing on the makeup, and the other creating a complementary hairdo style.

As a leading team of makeup artist in Singapore, we believe creative shoots allow our artists to push boundaries, experiment with new ideas, and refine their artistry. This particular concept was inspired by a modern oriental aesthetic, blending traditional elements with a fresh, contemporary approach.

For this shoot, our SG makeup artist team wanted to create a look that felt delicate, feminine, and artistic while still maintaining the elegance associated with oriental styling.

The Makeup: Natural, Soft and Delicate

Makeup by Sheila Koh, Autelier Makeup

For the makeup, our makeup artist Singapore team focused on a natural and soft pink palette to bring out the model’s gentle features.

The base was created with a smooth and flawless complexion, allowing the skin to appear radiant yet natural. Our Singapore makeup artist carefully built up the foundation to achieve a clean, polished finish while maintaining the model’s natural skin texture.

The eyes were kept soft and delicate, with light pink eyeshadow blended seamlessly across the lids to create subtle depth without overpowering the look. This approach reflects the refined aesthetic often seen in modern oriental beauty styles.

To complement the eyes, our makeup artist in Singapore added a gentle flush of blush across the cheeks to create a youthful and romantic glow. The lips were finished with a soft pink tone, tying the entire look together in a harmonious and feminine way.

The result was a makeup look that felt clean, elegant, and timeless, demonstrating the skill and precision that our SG makeup artist team is known for.

The Hair: Petals & Ribbons, Hairdo Style

The hair for this shoot was designed to balance traditional inspiration with a modern silhouette.

Our artist created a side braided ponytail hairdo style, incorporating subtle oriental elements into the structure of the hairstyle. The braid flowed naturally into a ponytail that was styled with bubbled ribbon sections, giving the hair added dimension and visual interest.

To enhance the oriental theme, the hairstyle was decorated with bright pink florals and delicate red ribbons, bringing a festive yet refined touch to the overall look.

This hairdo style perfectly complemented the makeup by adding personality and structure while still maintaining a soft and feminine feel. Our Singapore makeup artist team believes that great beauty styling always comes from the harmony between makeup and hair.

The Dress: A Sweet and Feminine Cheongsam

For the outfit, our makeup artist Singapore team selected a simple pink cheongsam for the model.

Rather than choosing something overly elaborate, the artists intentionally opted for a sweet and understated design. The soft pink colour complemented the makeup palette beautifully while allowing the detailed hairdo style and makeup artistry to remain the focus.

This modern interpretation of the cheongsam added an elegant oriental touch without overpowering the overall aesthetic. The result was a look that felt fresh, feminine, and contemporary, reflecting the creative direction of our makeup artist in Singapore team.

The Styling & Photography

The shoot was beautifully captured by our amazing friendor, Nicole from Vico Studio, who helped bring the entire vision to life.

The styling concept was intentionally kept minimal and cohesive. The backdrop featured a soft baby pink wash, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere that matched the makeup and outfit perfectly.

Simple yet thoughtful props were used to enhance the oriental theme. The model held a single stalk of florals, while a dark wooden table was incorporated into the set to introduce subtle contrast and texture. The darker wood tones also added a refined oriental element that grounded the soft pink colour palette.

Nicole’s photography captured every detail beautifully, from the delicate makeup to the intricate hairdo style, ensuring that the artistry of our Singapore makeup artist team was fully highlighted.
